Church & Christian Youth Programs |
Dear Pastor or Reverend:This is in reference to a national ministry that I have been doing for over ten years. I am a Christian motivational speaker for youth and families and do presentations in churches across America. In the presentation, I talk about choices, most importantly choosing Jesus Christ as our savior. As an ex-felon, I also talk about my mistakes and how they ruined my life (I was a co-defendant in the John DeLorean drug trial of 1982). Then, how I found freedom in a prison cell through Jesus Christ. Two years after my release from prison in 1985, I realized my childhood dream when I became a chief diver for The Cousteau Society. I weave my story around world-class pictures and videos of great white sharks, whales, and dolphins. I do need to darken the church sanctuary as I project video and slides as part of the presentation. My ministry has been featured on a prime time NBC special, "The 700 Club", "Focus On The Family", and many other national ministry programs. A Christian-funded video on my story won the gold medal at Worldfest. We competed against over six hundred secular films from Hollywood, London, Paris, etc. This video also won the gold medal at the American Christian Television awards. "Steve is a powerful speaker with a compelling message for young people. Navy frogman, pilot, Vietnam veteran, drug user, prisoner, chief diver for Jacques Cousteau and now Christian warrior. Steve captivates his audiences young and old with a message of hope, faith, and the power of choice." Charles B. Runnels, Cancellor Pepperdine University (310) 456-4000 |
